(Note: Many items I post are subject to change without my real knowledge. I'm just letting you know what I know atm)

Aight, so as promised to the 5 or 6 people who understand how I operate, I'm 'bout to relay some, if not all, of the information I have about Apex2013 Smash as of right now.
I say some because it's part what I paid attention to, part what I remember, and really depends on how long I feel like typing. (And what I feel I can tell you based off of what's officially been announced)
___
So, first and foremost, let's just talk about the games. Melee and (I guess for the sake of this post I'll say "the game's " name) Brawl are obviously still going to be there, and they're going to be the "main event" games. I quote that for a reason and I'll explain why later. Smash64 will be there, it will have stream time (I think top 4?), but it's still on "side event" status. More like side event with benefits. Project:M is not going to be an official game. There's going to be a new section to Apex2013, the developers corner, and Project:M will be there. (I don't know if it'll ONLY be allowed there, because remember, it was banned from the floor last year. I mean, that's what happens when you run a mod.)With all that being said, The 3 Apex games will be receiving some prizes bonuses. Let me put it bluntly, though. If you can play Brawl in any capacity, you'd be a fool not to enter. If you can stomach tripping and whatnot, you'd be crazy not to take a shot and what's being offered. Melee and Smash 64 are both going to get bonuses as well (at different levels). But, if things go right, they won't compare to Brawl's. Let's just say that winning Brawl could get you a flight to some luxurious islands for another tournament.
The rules are going to be addressed as need-be. This was overhauled last year, and I don't think anybody really complained about it this year. I know that, as of now, the pools format is going to be bracket pools. I completely support this and still wish it would have happened years ago (like, 07 years ago). Outside of that, I know there've been huge frickin' arguments over double MK in teams (aren't you people tired of dealing with that character yet). Last I heard it was standing on being banned, but that falls under the part of the meeting where I stop paying attention and start mashing FG buttons. It's already been stated that you won't see the nonsense round-robin top 8 pools from a recent Melee major. I mean, there was never a chance, but we made sure to say "Nope".
For right now, the main idea behind stream time is to have USA vs the World be the main events for the first two nights. I think Melee Friday, Brawl Saturday? I"m not entirely sure. The goal is to stream a lot of singles. I"m going to be doing Melee commentary, along with D1, Ben-Teezy, and I believe Prog. Brawl.... na, I wasn't paying attention there, lol. I don't know what's going to happen with Smash64, but I won't be horribly surprised if I wind up yelling about it or something. From what I'm told, there's going to be strict (read: real) enforcement of who's allowed on the stream, or even near the commentators. Oh yeah, I don't know the stream schedule at the moment (I SHOULD, but this discussion came up during me ____ ) but I know that they're making sure you don't have Brawl -> Melee -> Brawl sandwiches again. That'd taste disgusting.
Equipment, .... I forget what all has been said about this. I haven't paid too much attention because it's stuff that I can't really help with since I'm on the other side of the East Coast and all. But I do know the gist of it is that we're looking to get all of the equipment ourselves instead of relying on the community. Or maybe just the TVs? I'm not sure, but I do know it's been talked about in detail.
That's about all I can think of off the top of my head. When there's enough that merits another post, I'll drop another one.
Until then.
