Long story short, I bodied everybody all the way to the last boss. No real fights, no real struggles, died to 2 bosses and a stray fight in 5th Stratum.
But then you get to the last boss of the game.
First off, lemme sidebar and ask "HOW DO YOU WALK INTO A ROOM, HAVE A LONG WINDING CUTSCENE WITH THE BOSS GIVING THE MAJOR STORY POINT, THEN YOU GET BLINDSIDED???" Etrian Odyssey. lol.
But the problem is I'm in a position where I ever have to grind for 'bout 10 levels or so, or I have to have a Medic. And honestly, you don't need the Medic as much as you need ONE fricking move, lol. It's kinda ironic, never noticed that Medics have one ability that NOBODY else can cover.
So with that being said, I'm not going to kill myself with this. There are other things I want to do, and I'm not going to drain hours grinding just to finish this run out, especially since I know what happens afterwards.
I'm just going to admit defeat and move on. The next time I come back, I'll either have a Medic or resign to my fate of tedious grinding.
But next time... the start of Etrian Odyssey II, GUNSLINGER EDITION.
Probably gunna have 2 gunners, and no Dark Hunters. ( EO2 Dark Hunters were more gdlk than EO1 Dark Hunters, imo. Stern Look + whatever the full bind attack was = amazing)
