Stuff My Mom Says #4 - Thumbs Up

I walked into the kitchen to see what the hell I was smelling. Smelt like chicken, so I was curious if my Dad was frying chicken. He was, chicken nuggets, though. Still in the middle of cooking, so I just grabbed a bottle of water and was headin' back to the hideout.

As I walked by my mom, she was eating some leftovers from last night. She looked at me and gave me a thumbs up. Now, for as much soda as I'm known for drinking, I thought she was giving me a thumbs up for "actually drinking water". I've actually been drinking a lot of water lately, but eh. Who knows, maybe she hasn't seen me.

"What's the thumbs up for?" I ask her. She looks at me and replies, "Just saying 'hi' ". ..............

Now wait, don't we have a common hand signal to greet somebody? Something called... a wave? Where the heck did that go?
