The trial run of donations and G6... in short

Whoooooooooops. Meant to do this yesterday, but was too busy playin MAHVEL BABY!

The donation idea went fairly well. Actually, VERY well. I didn't get as much money as I thought I would, but I got enough to cover everything I expected to (and then more, actually.) One thing I do need to do, though, is make a better assessment of how much it'll actually cost me to get to a tournament. I didn't consider a few things, but everything worked out in the end. I also don't really need to set a rate, but rather need to just open up my paypal account (really, I just need to set it to where I can pull the money.)

But the first run was a hilarious success. ^_^

G6? Well, I wrote down some stuff about it, but upon trying to do the same things I did with Final Round, I've yet again realize that there really isn't AS MUCH THOUGHT behind it as I would hope. So much "on the fly" and "I do because I've got the buttons".

I didn't get to stay to watch melee grands. Tourney fell way behind after breaks and after some people decided to sit and play 50 friendlies rather than finish the tourney and then play friendlies. I've ALWAYS hated that about melee... no, smash tourneys.

Um... other interesting notes about the tourney include a nice venue, everybody in NC wanting to give a "hostile black guy" a hug, lol. And livewire. ^_^

OH AND FUCK SOME EAGLE/SAMI. :( Fullmetal scrubbed me out in a Advance Wars:DS FFA. I'm so bad. :(

I've also realized that I am indeed complete ass in the game, and although I'm doing some work to get myself de-rustified, I think I'm to the point of where I really don't have a big desire to get better. Why? Because melee is still the ONLY game where you HAVE to have somebody to practice with you, and I don't have it. No, the belief that M2K and PP got good on their own isn't completely true, because while they could get to a certain level by themselves, note that they didn't get where they are till they started going forth against live practice.

........-shrug- That's really 'bout it.

I'm still lookin' to go to AUSOM 3D.
