Couple of Arcana things that've come up lately


So in the past few days, there's been a little talk about 2 (really one) things that've come up recently. Both of which can be found on M.T. Shefu's page. https://www.youtube.com/user/mtarukana/videos

The first one is the more talked about thing,

So, the thing that's "weird" in that video is the fact that Clarice does her j.E a buncha times and she's never pushed back from it. Clarice j.E is one of the many moves in the AH3 series (I can't talk about 2 or 1, I don't know the ancient lore) that has a property that pushes the user back. However, Clarice's j.E, from the testing I've done, is the ONLY one where you can [do a little jank] and not get pushed back.

To do it, you have to home into your opponent and let the homing end naturally... that's it. It's really that simple. Feels awkward at first (because you HAVE to wait for Clarice to come out), but that's really all there is to it.

With it, you get some kool EFC loops lower to the ground and, ~~ well, you're probably an Arcana player if you're caring to read this. You can probably come up with some crazy idea that works.

(p.s., this works in AH3, Love Max, and Six Stars. I tested it in AH3, the source video (presumably) from Love Max (I've tested it in Love Max, too), and I could give you a Six Stars video if you -really- wanted it)

The next thing is something M.T. posted last night.

In this, Nazuna jump cancels into a Kara-Crow Cancelled.... Raw Extend Force ... Activation ... jibberish~~ ok here's what you need to know about Nazuna ( 'cause I don't imagine many people remember she actually exists in Love Max and Six Stars, which is kinda sad )
  1. Nazuna can Jump
  2. Nazuna can Activate Extend Force
  3. NAZUNA can Kara Cancel Crow into EF Activation (I'd swear I've seen her do it into burst as well, I have to dig up the video / figure out how to do it mechanically)
It's one of those things where I wouldn't be surprised if she's always been able to do it; I couldn't really tell you much about Nazuna under any circumstances.

Without trying to pretend like I know how this char works, you do this thing by doing any move that you can jump cancel (5A, 5B, 2B), buffering the jump cancel, then inputting wherever you want the crow to go (read: not 2 or 8), then plinking B+C into A (The plink is loose enough that you can actually piano C>B>A if you want to). Soo

[jump cancel move] > jump > 6B+C~A. That's an easy way to put it.

Now, aside from overall flashiness, I can actually think of one reason why you'd care to do this; if you were playing Tyr Nazuna. My logic being "Well, this is really only useful if you want raw activations" and, off the top my head, Tyr is the only arcana where a raw activation sounds useful. Again, I'm not where near an innovative person so there may be some other good ideas out there.

p.s., I don't know if it's entirely possible to do the -actual- KaraCrow with this tech. (The one where you do Crow > Standby, and it shortens recovery.) I've tried it and it didn't "just come to me" so I left it on the table for now.
