(Proofreading? dafuq is that nonsense? (lazy post))
O_O Today I watched 14 episodes of anime, 13 of which started in the fall series of anime. There were a lot of things that seemed interesting, and I that instead of trying two or waiting for people to tell me like I normally do, I'd just try them all and drop them as they turn ass. Needless to say, I spent the better half of this afternoon watching and... I'm actually surprised there are more interesting things than I thought.
Here's a copy/paste of a facebook post I made. If I have more to add, it'll be in bold italics.
Tanken Driland: Old, but gets subbed once a month. This is the old series, but I love it. I think I've convinced myself to love it and it's nothing amazing, but I love it for all it's worth.
Busou Shinki: ...awk...ward... reminds me of Symphogear but people don't get messed up. First ep didn't really tell me a whole lot beyond "There are these lil' action figure chicks who have Symphogear and... lol. I need to see some of the main plot of this before I can begin to give a flip.
Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai!: lolwut? I like this. I see why everybody's hooked on eyepatch chick (I can't think of her name atm). This one's a real keeper.
Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo: erm Denpa Onna? Not exactly one-for-one but, in my eyes, it's kinda the same concept. Guy is in a random place, meets chick with some kind of wtf behavior. Other people with wtf behavior are involved. (Although I'm sad that I don't think there'll be a Meme character.)
Girls und Panzer: ... it's like Upotte! ... except there isn't any super awkward ecchi... and there might be a point? Looking at the preview, this series was the one that caught my eye. I said "either this'll be hilarious or it'll be bad." I'm glad that it's giving itself a chance by not being a super ecchi fest like Upotte, because everything else is kinda close thus far. It does have a saving grace by having a hint of an interesting plot point, but it probably won't be much.
Tonari No Kaibutsu-kun: I actually like where this is going. Which is weird, cause I'm not a romance/shoujo fan (unless I'm a closet fan and don't know this). But I genuinely laughed and am interested in where this is going. Dunno what to say beyond the first episode did enough to make me wonder.
Teekyuu: Kawaii as fuck. Crack genre (2 minute eps). Even if this turns out dumb I can take it. I can stomach weekly crack. I think this is softenni without ecchi. Mind you, I didn't watch softenni, so I'm probably wrong.
Magi: .... yo.... stop... that rap beat... YUAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAL. :3 lol -finishes- Woah, aight, yeah. I can see this going places. Looks like another solid series. The funny thing is, it doesn't seem like it has anything new up front. It's just a twist on familiar concepts. But yo... that rap beat came out of left field and was pretty trill for the situation LOL.
Ixion Saga: It's generic (generic shonen action series), but it's going to try to be more than generic. I could see it being more than generic, but I can't really see it being any kind of awesome or memorable. It'd be something like Grenadier, but without Grenadier's memorable gimmick. So.. some dude's playing Monster Hunter, and gets pulled into a RPG land... this... I don't have high hopes for this.
Litchi de Hikari Club: What... the hell? lol Luckily it's crack but.... um... ?_? ... uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuum.
Kyou No Asuka Show: "Did seeing my butt this early ruin your day?" -FACEDESK- I think this is going to fit the description to the end. "Innocent, ecchi comedy anime." If the lols are this simple, I can stomach it (it's another crack series) >> nuff said >> http://i.imgur.com/aX256.jpg
Gokichka! Cockroach Girl!: If you've ever watched Ika Musume, take the mini Ika Musume skits and make them ass. That's what I think of this. And it's confusing out the gate. I mean.. do people see her as a Cockroach girl or just a roach? ... That... is kinda important for your humor. The 8 minutes I spent on this seriously made me think "Ya know, at least Ika Musume had some kool ideas and I just didn't care for most of them."
Code: Breaker: Looks like the generic shounen stuff that I often look over, but if the end of the first ep went down like they put it, I'm a little intrigued to see the "whats and whys" of this. First 5 minutes, I swear I see Sheima (sp) and what's-his-face from Blue Exorcist. Jokes aside, I can't imagine a whole lot happening from here unless they legit go hard and the end of the 1st ep sticks. Which... I don't see..... (Also didn't see Madoka happening so there's a slim chance)
Kamisama Hajimemashita: I dunno why I chose to watch this, but I watched the first ep. And strangely enough, I liked it. However, I have a feeling it's gunna pan out like Sengoku Collection where it was kool for like 3 episodes then it got dropped mid episode. We'll see. Charming. That's the best way I could describe. I seriously hope it DOESN'T hope it doesn't turn into a cliche shoujo romance story, because I straight laughed at some bits in this.
