Teach Me How to Dogy | Chapter 3 - Stayin' Positive.

WE INTERRUPT YOUR TEACH ME HOW TO DOGY TO BRING YOU A PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT

I'm gunna tell you up front; Teach Me How to Dogy is not going to be weekly. It's just worked out that way thus far. I want it to be bi-weekly at most, maybe weekly occasionally. I might drop it to weekly if I get shorter topics, but eh, we'll see.

Anyway.

AND NOW, BACK TO YOUR REGULARLY SCHEDULED BLOG.

___

Aight, this Chapter of "Teach Me How to Dogy" is going to be a lil' more serious than the first two. Like, don't worry, we still got some lols, but this is one of those Real Talk segments.

Ya heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeard?

~~Lately, I've been seeing alot of people bummed out on stuff. Be it life, "special others", tourney results (me), etc etc.

That sucks.

Like, you can't stop it, it's a part of life, but some people take it to the extreme. I've sat around and watched many friends and family spiral down into the depths of psuedo depression. Just, campin' out down there making no effort to get out.

That's cause getting out of that kinda stuff can suck.

It's pretty easy to sit back and think "Woe is me, it's the end of the world, nobody cares, and nobody is going to help, wah." And I can't talk like I know your life. That might actually be true, I don't know. What I do know, is that you don't have sit on your hands and get tore out the frame by all that profound sadness.

__

Now, I could go into the whole philosophy of depression, with all the stages and whatnot, but fuck all that. You didn't click the link for all that. You wanna Dogy.

And I'ma Teach You How to Dogy.

The way I see it, all variants of a positive attitude stem from 2 trains of thoughts.

I. The "Happy" Train. (the morale booster)
-also known as the "cool, funny, pleasant, (etc)" train.

This train rides around carrying good thoughts everywhere. I mean, that's the main place where it starts. You can't be feelin' straight unless you're thinking 'bout stuff that makes you feel good.

Favorite songs, quotes, lyrics. Watchin' movies you like, playin' awesome games, etc etc, whatever makes you think of good times.

The hidden fact about this is these actions don't really have to make you do anything, they just pretty much keep the morale up.

You don't specifically need to be in a mood to DO anything, just one to where you start letting go of all the trollin' nonsense that's been goin down.

and then there's

II. The "Hype" Train (The Adrenaline booster)

The loud, crunk train. Most commonly known as "I DON'T GIVE A FUCK." This thought process isn't really for the weak of heart as it involves looking despair in the face and dropkickin' in straight in the jaw.

Yeah it's going to happen (or has happened), and there's nothing that can be done; but screw it, there's better stuff to look forward to so LET'S GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

Got chya fight music? Weight training? Fast cars? Whatever gets you pumpin' hit it and quit the drama!

With that, you know where the good notes come from, all you really gotta understand beyond that is that you need to get em however them come.

-Small things count main. Stuff like random youtube vids can go a reeeeeeeeeal long way. (Honestly, youtube is a good way to blow off ALOT of steam since everything's on there)

-Try something new. I don't mean new like "I don't do this but I've done it in the past." Straight new stuff. NIGGAS HOW BOUT YOU TRY READIN' A BOOK. There's a lot of good that can come from trying something new. Honestly, even if it's something bad, it might allow you to put yourself in a stable, workable mental state

-When all else fails, GO TO SLEEP. You might be pissed, you might be sad, you might be ready to jump off a cliff, but it's pretty f'n hard to do ANY of that when you'er sleep. Is it going to fix your problem? Maybe, it honestly might. Doubt it, though. But it'll give you that f'n reset you need to level yourself out. (I intended on linkin' to "Go to Sleep" by Three 6 Mafia, but kinda had second thoughts in relationship to the topic).

__

And that's all I got.

If you read through all this expecting to laugh your ass off; I'm sorry, I tried.

If you read through and this made you feel a lil bit better, *thumbs up* don't worry 'bout it.

If you read this and thought it was a complete waste of your time, that's fine. Just don't forget it. Cause when something comes up, it might not be your closest friends or your loved one(s) that pull you out of your slump. It might be something like some random stupid ass internet pic that just makes you chill out.

YAH YAH TRICK!

  1. this is good advice for those who get worked up over little things

not so much for people with real issues that need to be worked out
